INFOTOM / Imports
The route also
runs inward.
Our principle is that a spice should come from the place it grows best. That principle does not stop at the Indian coastline — where a crop belongs somewhere else, we go there instead.
Why we import at all
Origin-first
cuts both ways.
A company that says every spice has an origin cannot then insist that every origin is Indian. Some ingredients our customers need are simply grown better elsewhere, and pretending otherwise would be the same shortcut we avoid at home.
So we apply the identical method: identify the region that is genuinely known for the crop, buy as close to the grower as the trade allows, and bring it into the same facility for cleaning, grading and packing.
How it works
Five steps
Brought in the
same way.
01
A requirement, not a bargain
We import because a customer needs something specific, not because a parcel came up cheap.
02
Origin identified
The growing region is chosen on the same grounds we choose Indian regions — climate, practice and reputation for that one crop.
03
Specification agreed
Grade, moisture and packing are fixed before purchase, so what lands is what was bought.
04
Into our own facility
Imported material is cleaned, graded and packed on the same line, under the same checks, as everything else.
05
Supplied onward
Into retail, institutional, manufacturing or re-export, depending on who asked for it.
